Get back to doing what you love quickly!

We know that no two patients are the same. While many patients seek help for a similar problem, it’s normal for them to have very different outcomes in how they feel and how quickly they notice improved results. Sometimes, we recommend additional treatment in the form of physical therapy for patients that we feel need an extra boost to achieve their full wellness potential.

At Goodlife Chiropractic at King Harbor, we’re thrilled to have the ability to offer patients a unique physical therapy and injury rehab plan unique to their own needs.

Who Is a Candidate for Physical Therapy?

We often recommend physical therapy for patients who may not be responding to chiropractic adjustments as quickly as we’d like, post-operative surgical patients, and for athletes healing from a sports-related injury.

Typically, a course of physical therapy will initially last between four to six weeks, during which time we’re continuously monitoring the progress of the patient. After that amount of time, we’ll re-evaluate the patient’s response and whether or not additional physical therapy is necessary.

Your First Physical Therapy Appointment

When possible, we recommend patients arrive about 10 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time, as there will be brief paperwork required before starting. Patients can show up to their appointments in whatever clothes they like, though loose-fitting clothes are ideal for movement and stretches that may be a part of their routine.

After a thorough examination, a physical therapy regimen will be developed based on her findings and recommendations. It’s not uncommon for your visits to include treatments like stretching, exercise, hot and cold packs, muscle stimulation and strength training.
